COSEC is the Portuguese leader in credit insurance (according to the Portuguese Insurance Association) and 50% held by BPI and by Euler Hermes. Euler Hermes is the world leader in credit insurance (according to ICISA – International Credit Insurance and Surety Association), with a presence in 52 countries.

The Insurance credit line for short term is one of the solutions included in the Exportação Segura BPI Solutions and it is aimed at importers which sell to political risk countries, as well as goods and services export operations which may benefit from State guarantees. 

• Coverage of the non-payment risk and political risk in occasional export operations;
• Enables access to new markets and to new Clients;
• COSEC’s experience in foreign markets;
• Export operations cover all countries outside the OECD, as well as Chile, Greece, Mexico, the Republic of Korea and Turkey;
• Access to a specialized professional service of credit risk analysis and of collection and recovery of debts for the external market, through the relationship with BPI.
