How to join

The BPI Electron Card is intended for Customers with a Current Account at Banco BPI.

To sign up for the BPI Visa Electron Card, you must:

Download and/or print the Debit Card Subscription Agreement. Alternatively, you can request that the Debit Card Subscription Agreement be sent to you by post, entering the details requested;
Complete and sign the Debit Card Agreement in accordance with the bank records;
Deliver the Debit Card Subscription Agreement and a photocopy of your ID document to any BPI branch.

The BPI Card is equipped with innovative contactless technology. Simply approach the card to the Automatic Payment Terminal (APT) to make payments. The secret personal identification number code (PIN) will only be requested for payments over €50 or in specific situations.
